Herstory
When Steph Pappas was seventeen years of age, she stood at Downtown Crossing in Boston, Massachusetts hawking the underground paper to pay for a one-way bus ticket to the Northeast Kingdom in Vermont. Just a teenager that escaped from the city and eloped with the country, Steph practiced up on her 12-string Harmony acoustic guitar and played her first open mike at Hunts in downtown Burlington, Vermont. Also at Hunts, the second open mike Steph played was standing room only. After that Steph recalls, "I'd come home after my day job, the phone would ring and it would be Hunts: 'Quick! Can you get down here? Jorma and Jack are late. We need you to play till they get here.'" After a stint playing cover tunes at ski resorts and a few other side projects, Steph helped form the all-girl rock band Miss Bliss.

Vinyl, Tape, CD, and Film
Bliss Songs, a collector's cassette by Miss Bliss featured new and original music. The Miss Bliss album Greek Picnic, sold over 1,000 copies in such a short time that Capitol Records wanted to sign the band. Songs Piped In From The Moon, Steph Pappas' first solo recording, was intended for demo use, but became the fastest and largest selling cassette at Pure Pop Records, located in Burlington, Vermont USA. After three months, two more pressings were made. The hit movie starring Steph Pappas – filmed, directed, and produced by Raymond Rea – "Local Voice" became a fast favorite at the University Of Vermont Film Festival and was shown numerous times. "Local Voice" also aired on Vermont television at different times. "Local Voice" was made in Vermont USA. While in San Francisco, Steph wrote and performed the music in "Third." "Third" was filmed, directed and produced by Raymond Rea, and won the top award at the Vermillion Film Festival. The Steph Pappas Experience/Not On The Map - Original music, heavy on guitar and drum receives airplay on national and international radio stations by mostly blues or rock 'n' roll DJ's. Steph Pappas/3 Wishes - Original Americana music with a unique arrangement of guitar, vocal, back-up vocals, trumpet, violin, banjo, harmonica and tambourine is aired on national and international radio stations by folk or rock DJ's usually.

More Herstory
Steph left Miss Bliss and became The Steph Pappas Experience. The Jimi Hendrix-like, wah-wah pedal sound from Steph's guitar had producers and fans alike calling her The Steph Pappas Experience. Magic Hat Brewing Company (South Burlington, Vermont, USA) makes 1100 cases of Miss Bliss Beer each spring for three consecutive years. In conjunction with Magic Hat's Miss Bliss Beer, Red Square in downtown Burlington, Vermont USA hosted what was to become a landmark Miss Bliss reunion on May 7th 2000.
